Camp Alpine Reunion 2008

Sam, walking the tight rope.

Me!

Sam.

Maia and Mike.

Syd, under the waterfall.

Siblings.

Berkeley.

Boy cousins at the archery range.

Girl cousins on the bridge.

Maia just can't wait to get her swimsuit on.

Just a quick post-in-pictures to give a taste of the best reunion ever. I can't go to this place without fantasizing about building a home right in the middle of the meadow and living there. (Operative word: fantasizing.) Happy 70th birthday, mom! Thanks for building the zip-line, Mike. Thanks for teaching the kids soldering and the finer points of electronics, Ken. Thanks for buying all the food and for the geocache and hiking trips, Dad. Thanks for bringing the fun relatives from France, Sheryl, and for planning the fabulous menu. And thanks to all for the wacky talent show. I love my family!

Amen! The best family reunion ever. I feel blessed to have married into such a great family. Nothing beats the good times and great food at Camp Alpine. Happy 70th Janeil! Where's the picture of you riding the zipline on your birthday?

That looks like so much fun. Thanks for not being serious about moving to that meadow. I don't want you to move.

Love your pictures. It really was the best reunion ever. Moving to the meadow would only be fun if the whole family could do it together.

Did you actually swim in the pond at Camp Alpine? I know that pond. I've been there several times. FAmily reunions are the best.

How cool, Darilyn, that you've been there. Did you go to Girls' Camp there? I grew up swimming in that pond, so I'm not afraid of slime and salamanders. It does seem much colder as an adult, though. I mostly swam from the zip-line to the shore.

O.K. This kids having a blog thing is driving me nuts! They are always signed in when I don't know it. I like that they are keeping up on their cute little lives, but I don't pay attention to who is signed on. So, to make my long story shorter....that was me Tonya, not Sophia:0)

In the meadow? I was thinking about a yurt up by Libbies Leap.

I've got some spare batteries for the bugs. Don't buy them at the store, they are way over priced!

What a great place? Where is it? There looks like tons of activities for the kids. In our family we didn't start family reunions until I was already married so I don't really know many people at them.

No, I did not go to girls camp there although I was supposed to go the summer we ended up moving to Portland. But we moved and I didn't get to go. But I did go there twice for our ward campout and twice for our annual Relief Society retreat. Fun place. I love the stage amid the trees.

HOW FUN!!!!We are sad to be missing the Worth reunion this year in W. Virigina. Moving took priority. Now that I'm in the NW again, I'd love to get together and say hello!
