Okay, Bridget made fun of my last post so I'm going to try again. I'll admit that last attempt was a little lame, so I'm digging deeper into my childhood. I hope these pass muster because I doubt I can come up with 7 more.
1. I was the only Caucasian baby in the hospital where I was born in East Chicago.
2. My mom taught my kindergarten class in a little country church with a bell on top. One day we were running late so I had to come to school in my crocheted slippers.
3. I was considered an airhead in my family growing up. (I didn't discover my inner-nerd until graduate school.)
4. I broke my nose waterskiing. My ski flipped off and hit me right in the face. I was so panicked about all the blood I tried to get out of my life jacket in the water. I had to start my junior year of high school with two big black eyes.
5. For 18 months I was student body vice president and madame chair of the student council at my high school.
6. I was also a homecoming princess.
7. I went to community college for a year before my parents finally convinced me to leave the nest and go to BYU.
How's that? Now I want to hear 7-14 strange and interesting things about each of you.

Love this one! Do I need to call you Princess Brenda now?? Please say yes. Chicago huh? Why did I not know you were born in Chicago? I thought you were in Montana a couple years before you moved to Oregon. I do remember hearing the waterski incident story. Although I appreciated hearing it again. :)
This is good stuff. I loved learning all of this.
Cool, these are always a lot of fun to get to know people better. Another random factoid: before you guys moved away from our neighborhood, we always thought your house was so cool, with the bridge and all. (Before we met your family, when we lived just down the cul-de-sac from you, yours was always known as "that really cool house" we passed by.) Personally, I thought it would be good if made into a drawbridge over a moat, but that's just me. :)
I didn't know you broke your nose, and you are definitely not an airhead! That was fun learning a little more about you, thanks!
I love the crochet slippers to school - very stylish!
1. i once had an extensive collection of sports cards and my hero was bo jackson.
2. as a sixth grader i listened to kriss kross and wore my clothes backwards.
3. i actually purchased a nintendo gameboy and a pair of reebok (sp?) pumps.
4. in high school i hated to read.
5. on a particularly rough and rainy day of tracting, when a woman said she would not leave the cover of her doorway to come talk to us at her gate, i asked whether she was afraid of melting.
6. i got a c in american heritage and a c- in astronomy one spring at byu, was put on academic probation, and had to meet with an academic counselor before i could enroll again.
7. a pair of drag queens used to live in our apartment building not long ago and they stopped by the other night to see what renovations the new owner has made.
Love how your story's evolving from "my parents kicked me out" to "my parents convinced me to leave."
We were misled into thinking you were an airhead because it always seemed like a party when you were around. (Still does.)
The kids are back in school and Brenda is back blogging. I love to hear your stories. This is good information if I every play that two truths and a lie game with you.
Fun factoids about Brenda:0) I liked your old ones too. I like finding out random facts about other people, so how about digging up 7 more. Just kidding, unless you really want to!
Now those are "better"! Kudos to Bridget for coaxing you on to more fascinating factoids. :-)
I responded to your tag on my blogspot. But I didn't feel like trudging down memory lane. Have a nice day!
I can give you one interesting bit right now, my next race is the 18th at Clackamas Community College at 12:00. :)
I liked both versions. You are just such the awesome person, any new info is fun. I too loved my crochet slippers.
