An Old Family Recipe

Doesn't this look delicious?

Ingredients:
Cardboard
Spray paint
Yarn
Puffy paint
Paper plate
Plastic utensils
Paper cup
Hot Glue

Assemble the above and add

ONE GIGGLY GIRL

p.s.
Who asked me this week why I love Halloween? Our conversation got cut off, but I kept thinking about it and here are my answers.
#1 Obviously, a chance to use the glue gun
#2 Chocolate? Hello, I've abstained ALL MONTH to make it that much more exciting (My kids know I get 10%)
#3 Traipsing around carefree in the dark
#4 Oohing and Ahhing all night at the neighborhood kids who come to the door; pretending to be scared by pint-sized goblins and ghosts

It's just good old-fashioned fun.

Wow, that is a very creative costume. How did she come up with that? I love Halloween too.

That is such an awesome costume! How did you come up with that? I toyed with the idea of making Hazel's costume, but lack of creativity put a stop to my musings.

Just noticed the Funnies. They really are. Funny.

Just read "Just Jane" by Nancy Moser. You'd really like it if you love all of Jane Austen's novels. She was amazing.

This really is an old family recipe. Berkeley did it at the same age and got lots of attention for it. All I had left was the spaghetti hat.
I saw the basic idea in a magazine, with a complicated foam turkey hat. This year the boys are pulling together their own costumes, and Maia is in a store-bought pink poodle costume. More pictures to come...

Why I don't like Halloween. I don't own a glue gun and don't ever care to. I certainly don't need a reason to gain five more pounds. I would rather have my kids in bed then traipsing around in the dark. The doorbell gets really annoying after the 15th ring. Especially when its a bunch of teenagers and Nathan and I are in bed and all house lights are off.

That is possibly the cutest and most creative Halloween costume I think I have ever seen. Awesome! I LOVE Halloween. The kids are so excited to tromp around the neighborhood and get gobs of candy. I just hate the being cold part:0)

My costume is a throw ( a blanket used for decoration). I like her's.

Love it Brenda! My kids are getting tired of going costume shopping in our hand me down box. I love Halloween too...but am disappointed that Seattle is so "PC" that kids can't have parties or wear costumes to school. Ugh...

That spaghetti looked so real when I saw it at your house! I thought that somebody must be seriously hungery! :-)

And I love Bridget for being an adorable Halloween Scrooge! :-)

I love that costume. A friend went to the ward trunk or treat party this year with a shoe tied to her head and she was the piece of gum stuck to a shoe. You are all much more creative than me.

awesome costume. I should have taken a look before halloween to help me get a second wind of costume-making.
