Yeah, the arch is cool. But look at Sam's hair. One month ago.
At the peak of its glory.
This was two days ago when I decided maybe Sam would benefit from a clearer field of vision. (The kids are working on their trio version of "Yankee Doodle," which for some reason, involves a lot of elbowing.)

Why did I do it? I worry I may have robbed him of some of his super powers. I grabbed the scissors, just wanting him to be able to see again. I fully intended to keep the shaggy vibe going, but I couldn't stop myself. I didn't know
how to stop. And now he's just a regular boy. Sorry, Sammy.

I live close to Ashland so I've seen plenty of rat's tails, pony-boy-tails, and dreds. There's a fine line between shaggy for fun, and celebrating unprincipled aimlessness.
For all I know, the good Lord wore his hair long, and I pick my battles. But loose the angst about interfering- it's you job to give direction, and it's not the hair that makes him special.
I encourage my boys to have their hair as long as any current GA or missionary in the ward that they choose.
Wow, profound words from the good doctor!
I was just going to say, "don't worry, it grows back." You should see what my stylist did to me in the spirit of summer. I could pass inspection, military or missionary.
Anyone got a picture of Neil's 1980's shaggy mop I could post? :0)
Sam will never be just a regular boy. Just ask my kids who bring his name up at least once a day for one reason or the other.
He looks great. He is great. You're a good Mom.
Well you did a good job! I think he looks great!
Long or sort, he looks great. BTW, I like the new blog look!!
Sam looks awesome no matter what hair style he has. He is just that type of kid!
