Praying for a Snow Day

Mike and I were just watching the slushy rain/snow fall out our window, reminiscing. Weren't those snow days last year the BEST? Something magical about snow in the northwest--the way the whole world shuts down and you meet your neighbors. Our little girls are wondering when it will snow, and having grown up here, I have to say, it doesn't snow every year. Last year, we were particularly lucky to get so much. Here are Mike, Sam and I taking turns tearing it up on Mike's Ski Bike. He designed and built it. Whenever we bring it out, there is a crowd ready to try it. No brakes, though. That's the only flaw :0)

I LOVE snow days. I love that I CAN'T go anywhere and we all get to stay home playing games and getting little projects done like filing. I really need to file so I hope we get snow.

nice to see that you're keeping the dream alive. mine hasn't been out since the day-we-don't-speak-of. i take that back, i did ride it once five years ago. while christmas shopping this year, in the mall i saw some skibikes for sale at $700 a piece. i guess we we're just ahead of our time. actually, i doubt they're selling many.

oh, and about the other post, i never knew the band had a website. but of course i doubt i knew the internets existed back then either.

yes! the snow last year was the BEST! we met so many of our neighbors on our driveway! it seemed like everyone was on our driveway taking advantage of the great sleding hill that it is!

on the way to the bus this morning nani asked if they could go sledding today. unfortunately not enough snow so, probably not!

That's the coolest bike I've ever seen. I didn't even know they existed. Our winters in PA are the opposite, we get snow in Nov. and don't see the ground until April. I gotta get me one of those fancy bikes!
